Cyclone Reservoir – 40 GPM Eco-Friendly Hydraulic Reservoir

As hydraulic fluid passes from high to low pressure zones within the plumbing, valves, cylinders and motors, intermolecular gas comes out of solution. The patented Cyclone reservoirs enables this gas to be rapidly removed from the fluid prior to being returned to the inlet side of the pump.

The purpose of a hydraulic reservoir has historically been stated as to allow the fluid to “quiet”. This was understood to mean to allow contaminants to settle out, to cool the fluid and to allow gas bubbles to float to the top. Today’s modern systems address contaminants with efficient filtration. Cooling capacities of steel reservoirs is very limited at best. The patented Cyclone reservoir now cures destructive gas bubbles as described below.

Feature and Benefits
  • Can be utilized with pump flow totaling up to 40 GPM.
  • Normal reservoirs are sized 1 to 3 times the flow of the pump. A 40 GPM pump would in this case require a reservoir size of anywhere from 40 to 120 gallons.
  • The Cyclone only requires 3.9 gallons of fluid resulting in a weight savings of 290 to 930 pounds.
  • At $9.00 per gallon the Cyclone reservoir will result in a cost savings of from $324.90 to $1,044.90 in fluid expense.
  • Coupling this very small volume of fluid with vegetable based fluid results in an extremely light weight and Eco-friendly design.
