Our Timeline

1953

Founded by James R. Price as a fluid power component distributor, operating from his parents’ basement.

Jim’s brother, Thomas E. Price Sr., joins the company.

1955

1957

Relocation to a storefront in Milwaukee.

Expanded to a 26,000 sq. ft. facility in Waukesha. Laurel Price-Portz and Tom Bauman joined the business.

1980~

1986

Thomas Price Jr. joins as Engineering Manager.

Transition to custom-engineered hydraulic systems and kits. Focus on customer service and tailored mobile/industrial solutions drives growth.

1990s

2001

Relocated to current 60,000 sq. ft. Hartland, WI facility.

Tom Sr. retires; Tom Jr. becomes second-generation owner.

2003

2012

First retail location, the Price Hose Center, opens in Oak Creek, WI.

Facility expands by 14,000 sq. ft. to support service division Price On-Site. A second Hose Center opens.

2013

2014

Third Hose Center launches in Appleton, WI.

Acquisition of Application Equipment (authorized SKF and Lincoln distributor/integrator).

2015

2016

Acquisition of Fox Valley Fluid Power; Application Equipment moves to Jackson, WI; Cyclone Hydraulic Reservoir is launched.

Joins forces with SunSource, a nationwide leader in fluid power distribution.

2018
